Atomicrops features multiple NPC townsfolk that can be married by giving them a total of 21 Roses. Rose seeds can be acquired in any Biome and are grown on your farm.
Each spouse features individual skills.
Romancing System[ | ]
Each eligible partner starts off as a Stranger to the player, but their relationship levels increase upon the provision of a certain number of harvested Roses. The potential suitors are found in the right-hand side of Town at the end of each day and will have a random upgrade (or a Heart Beet seed) beside them. Giving the required number of Roses earns the player the item. A character can be given multiple Roses at once to advance the relationship quickly, but the number of Roses required increases with relationship level.
Upgrades change each day, while potential spouses change on day one of each season. On marrying a spouse they will leave their place and join the player character on their Farm. The space they leave behind is then filled in with a new spouse the next day. Marriage will also earn the player the character's Wedding Ring. The Wedding Ring provides +3 in either Fighting or Farming, depending on the character.
Ordinarily only one suitor can be married at a time: once the player has a spouse all other suitors will have the "Spouse" step removed and replaced with "Just Friends", unable to receive any more roses once they reach the penultimate friendship level. However, with the Polygamy upgrade the player can marry as many as they can afford (even those previously listed as "Just Friends"). Divorce is not possible, making Polygamy the only way to marry a different partner to the first one chosen.
